THE WORST NINE WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

The worst nine words in the English language:
'Would you like to hear one of my poems?'
Much worse than Hell, they make you seek refuge
They'll clear a room in tens, fours, and tandems.

But, then, who can say? The unlikely source
Might just pen something meaningful and fine
Not written in code, like something from Morse
But words rhyming to free him from a bind.

So why not grab a chair, sit down and hear
What means so much to this poetaster
Let him state his case, perhaps shed a tear
Prove himself of Literature the Master.

Who says the Angels, and God in Heaven
Aren't pulling up chairs, too, for a listen?
