The pain of the blame no therapies brook The shame and disgrace no solution cures If, finally, one should write such a book Could it explain what the scapegoat endures? What if you yourself were held to account For all those bad things your own parents did What their parents did, add that to the count Guilty for all this since you were a kid? From your profound hurt you'd seek remedy To straighten things out you'd become fixer You'd seek release through divine comedy But, the blanket of blame would play nixer Problems you caused not you cannot resolve There is no way this false shame to dissolve. |
