You Trip Me Up to Laugh When I Fall
You trip me up to laugh when I fall
As my father you know where to place wires
Across my hopes and dreams you've cast a pall
Hoping my courageous spirit might die
Most difficult for me to overcome
My inability to comprehend
How a father could attack so his son
Rather than the pains of his life to mend
God wills a father to aid his offspring
Not to use his position to wreck them
Such divine betrayal carries great sting
As so many evils from it can stem
While down on Earth you may have served Satan
It's God above your Fate will ascertain.
