'Reap the Crop That You Sow'

It's time that you give up the show
For people who just don't know
It's time that you live in the glow
And reap all the crop that you sow.

Time Has Come

Time has come to transfer to my 'personal site' all my writings--i.e., poetry, plays, lyrics, essays, blogs--to the capable hands of a professional.

A combination agent/manager/promoter/publisher who would be willing to do the website posting and design, publishing of my works (e-cards, cards, books, CDs, etc.), submitting them for publication elsewhere, arranging appearances--generally doing all the things I don't tend to be good at, or just don't (or can't) get to.

This would free me up for other pursuits in life . . while I keep on writing.

I'm now officially in search of such a person.

'No Word Need Be Spoken'

No word need be spoken,
Your presence is enough;
You mend my heart that's broken
You smooth my soul that's rough.

'Back to Believing'

Back to believing,
. . Hope on the rise
Sunlight relieving,
. . Lifting the eyes.

'At Least They're Good With Knives'

Nightmare and Horror Show
Tied the knot
And ruined their children's lives.

"Nightmare," said Horror Show
"Yes, that's their lot
But at least they're good with knives."

Voyage Trans-Pacific

Ship worm pierced your hull
. . On voyage trans-Pacific
. . . Waves crashed in
. . . . But then a lull
Saved you end horrific.

'Black Muddy River'

When Tom Weaver told us Thursday night at the weekly Little Grill open mic that we'd probably never heard 'Black Muddy River' by the Grateful Dead, he was right . . at least in my case. But what a song it is . .
When the last rose of summer pricks my fingers
And the hot sun chills me to the bone
When I can't hear the song for the singer
And I can't tell my pillow from a stone

lyrics by: Robert Hunter
music by: Jerry Garcia

Kinda overshadowed the rest of us by a mile.
